It's More than Boy George's Gender Pronouns

Abstract

Boy George became famous in the 80s due in part to his androgynous and non-normative gender expression. But what have we learned about gender identity and expression since then and how does this impact our work with library users and library colleagues? This workshop will explore unconscious gender biases, cisgender privilege, techniques for making your library space inclusive, and ways to increase your own personal awareness of gender diversity.
